Open Data

Ontario’s open data directive maximizes access to government data by requiring it be made public, unless it is exempt for legal, privacy, security, confidentiality or commercially-sensitive reasons. It sets out key principles and requirements for publishing open data, and applies to data created and managed by Ontario ministries and provincial agencies.

Personal Information is not to be released as open data under the terms of the Open Government License – Ontario.

eHealth Ontario is now part of Ontario Health. For Ontario Health’s data inventory, or to request a specific data set, see the Open Data section on the Ontario Health Corporate Documents page.
