eHealth Ontario is leveraging local, regional and provincial assets and connecting existing information technologies to improve patient care and clinical efficiencies through its initiative, ConnectingOntario.
ConnectingOntario is the key to enabling an electronic health record (EHR) system for the 13.6 million residents of Ontario.
To achieve meaningful implementation quickly and effectively, eHealth Ontario is working with stakeholders to divide the province into three regions. In South West Ontario, ConnectingOntario is being delivered by the ConnectingSouthWestOntario (cSWO) program.
Watch as Doctors in South West Ontario, explain how the cSWO Regional Clinical Viewer, ClinicalConnect™ works, and listen to real patients describe how their care has been improved as a result.
cSWO represents 30 per cent of Ontario’s population covered by the four south west Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) – Erie St. Clair, South West, Waterloo Wellington and Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant. London Health Sciences Centre is the delivery partner for the cSWO program implementation and management. Health Information Technology Services, a division of Hamilton Health Sciences is the key solution provider to cSWO, deploying ClinicalConnect to clinicians in south west Ontario.
