OLIS FHIR has arrived in the Innovation Lab
As of June 29th, registered users of the Innovation Lab can explore integration with the Ontario Laboratories Information System (OLIS) using the draft Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) specification. FHIR is a next generation standards framework for exchanging health care information electronically. It leverages the latest web standards and can be used in a wide variety of contexts including mobile devices, cloud communications, EHR-based data sharing, and server communications in large institutional organizations.
Recognizing growing interest in the FHIR standard, the Innovation Lab now includes an OLIS FHIR service that allows users to demonstrate how their custom applications or solutions can connect with OLIS using this up and coming standard. This complements the DHDR (Medication) FHIR interface that is already available in the Innovation Lab.
For more information on how to use OLIS FHIR or any of our other interfaces in the Innovation Lab, please visit the Innovation Lab.
