ClinicalConnect is a secure, web-based portal that gives health care providers real-time access to their patients’ electronic medical information from all acute care hospitals, Local Health Integration Networks' (LHIN) Home and Community Care Services and Regional Cancer Programs in South West Ontario, in addition to various provincial clinical data repositories.

Technical Prerequisites

  • Users must obtain secure credentials using one of the following:
    • Health care providers authorized to use credentials provided by Hamilton Health Sciences or their ClinicalConnect Local Registration Authority (LRA)
    • Health care providers can use their ONE ID credential to log in
    • Health care providers from eHealth Ontario authorized organizations can seamlessly login from their Hospital Information System without having to re-enter their login credentials using ONE ID Federated Identity
  • Minimum browser requirements

Non-Technical Prerequisites

  • Must be a Health Information Custodian (HIC) or authorized to view through a HIC
  • Must comply with the ClinicalConnect Terms & Conditions
  • Legal agreements
  • Privacy and security assessments
