eHealth Ontario is a finalist for three awards
We are happy to announce that eHealth Ontario is a finalist for three Canadian Health Informatics Awards (CHIAs). The Diagnostic Imaging Common Service Integration Team has been selected as a top finalist for the Patient Care Innovation Team Award. The Diagnostic Imaging Common Service provides consolidated access to digital health information from all four of the regional DI repositories so that health care professionals can view reports and images from across the province. Patients no longer have to carry a CD from appointment to appointment and their doctors have access to more information, which supports better diagnoses and care.
The LTC eConnect project is a finalist for two Canadian Health Informatics Awards: the Patient Care Innovation Team Award; and the Project Innovation and Care Delivery Team Award. The LTC eConnect project is a partnership between eHealth Ontario, Canada Health Infoway and the Long Term Care Association. It gives health care professionals in Long Term Care Homes access to the clinical viewers within their EMR system, offering one-touch access to their patients’ medical records to improve the quality and timeliness of resident care, particularly following transitions.
Congratulations to everyone who worked on these initiatives. This is a great recognition of the Agency’s excellent work putting patients first. For more information about the awards, go to https://digitalhealthcanada.com/canadian-health-informatics-awards/.
