ONE Access Gateway Transport Specification
ONE Access Provider Gateway is a modernized platform for enabling the integration of provider facing applications* with provincial clinical repositories and registries** in a secure and reliable manner. It is eHealth Ontario’s solution to better supporting the applications to access EHR data through the Application Program Interfaces (APIs) published via the ONE Access Provider Gateway.
*Provider applications include point-of-service systems supporting clinical workflow for Ontario’s healthcare providers.
**ONE Access Provider Gateway will support authorized provider applications to access provincial clinical repositories, which contain information from various domains, such as Laboratory, Medication, Diagnostic Imaging, Immunization and Acute and Community Care data. It will also support access to registries data contained in the Provincial Client Registry (PCR), and Provincial Provider Registry (PPR).
Scope
The ONE Access Gateway exposes a set of RESTful FHIR APIs protected by OAuth2/OpenID Connect authorization and authentication protocols via:

Once a project with eHealth Ontario is initiated, the specification explains how to connect to the ONE Access Provider Gateway environments, and the technical details as to how to interact with the published APIs to access EHR data.
